Through our actions...

If we were to display through our actions the perfections of the moral qualities of Islam and the truths of belief, without doubt, the followers of other religions would enter Islam in whole communities; rather, some entire regions and states, even, on the globe of the earth would take refuge in Islam...

Europe and America are pregnant with Islam. One day, they will give birth to an Islamic state. Just as the Ottomans were pregnant with Europe and gave birth to a European state.

NATURE

The imaginary and insubstantial thing that Naturalists call Nature, if it has an external reality, can at the very most be work of art; it cannot be the Artist.

It is an embroidery, and cannot be the Embroiderer.

It is a set of decrees; it cannot be the Issuer of the decrees.

It is a body of the laws of creation, and cannot be the Lawgiver.

It is but a created screen to the dignity of God, and cannot be the Creator.

It is passive and created, and cannot be a Creative Maker.

It is a law, not a power, and cannot possess power.

It is the recipient, and cannot be the source.

Mencari kunci hati

Setiap hati memiliki ‘kunci’

Mata cinta

terasa letih memandang aib

Tapi mata murka

selalu menampakkan aib

This Moment

I may never see tomorrow; there's no written guarantee.
And things that happened yesterday belong to history.
I cannot predict the future, I cannot change the past.
I have just the present moment, I must treat it as my last.

I must use this moment wisely, for it soon will pass away.
And be lost forever as a part of yesterday.
I must exercise compassion, help the fallen to their feet.
Be a friend unto the friendless, make an empty life complete.

The unkind things I do today may never be undone.
And friendships that I fail to win may nevermore be won.
I may not have another chance on bended knees to pray.
And thank God with a humble heart for giving me this day.

Forgiveness

This is a story about a teacher who told each of her students to bring a clear plastic bag and a sack of potatoes to school. The teacher suggested to her pupils that for every person they had refused to forgive in their life's experience, they were to take a potato, and write on it the name and date, and put it in the plastic bag.

The teacher then told each of her students to carry this bag with them on their shoulders and on their backs everywhere they went for one week, keeping the bag next to them at all times even beside their beds at night and by their desk throughout the school day, basically 24-hours a day.

Some of her students complained that the plastic bags were too heavy to lug around. The hassle of physically lugging these heavy plastic bags around with them made it clear to the students what their teacher was trying to convey to them about the value of friendship and forgiveness. The students realized what a weight they were carrying spiritually.

This is a great metaphor for the price we pay for keeping our pain and heavy negativity. Too often we think of forgiveness as a gift to the other person, but it clearly is for ourselves. Remember what Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala) teaches us in Surah Al-A'raf [7:199-200]:
"Show forgiveness, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the ignorant (i.e. don't punish them). If a suggestion from Satan assails your mind, seek refuge with Allah; for He heareth and knoweth (all things)."

SINCERITY

Learn to call on Allah,
In the dark,
While riding on a bus,
Or sitting in a park.
Learn to do it when
Alone in a room,
Or staying up late,
Staring at the moon.
And if someone boasts about
What he did for Allah,
And asks you to tell him
What you did for Allah,
Just say, "Why should I tell you"
If I did it for Allah?"

Causes of increase in Iman

1. Praying to your Lord, Glorified and Exalted, in secret, supplicating a lot to Him, hoping in His reward, and engaging in much remembrance of Him.
2. Contemplating His Book, for nothing helps the recovery of the heart except the Book of Allah Mighty and Sublime. There are many who busy themselves even with sciences of the Shari`ah at the expense of reciting the Qur'an until their hearts eventually harden. So if this happens with acts of obedience, what about one who occupies his heart with sins?

3. Regularly performing your obligatory prayers in congregation, for Allah guaranteed the one who guards his obligatory prayers in congregation that he will neither abandon him, nor humiliate him, and that He will guard him in this world and the next.

4. Regularly performing as-sunan ar-rawatib (acts of Sunnah that were stressed and regularly performed by the Prophet, sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam), and doing plenty of them, for whenever you prostrate to Allah with a prostration, He raises your level.

5. Accompanying and loving the righteous. "The person is with one he loves." [Al-Bukhari] "Do not befriend except a believer, and let no one eat your food except a taqiyy (a pious, God-fearing person)." [Ahmad]

6. Knowing that Allah al-Wahid al-Ahad watches over us, and knowing that He is with you: "Does He who created not know, while He is the Subtle, the Acquainted?" [al-Mulk (67):14]

Knowing also that He knows what you hide and what you make apparent: "Have you not considered that Allah knows what is in the heavens and what is on the earth? There is no private conversation of three but that He is the fourth of them, nor are there five but that He is the sixth of them - and no less than that and no more except that He is with them [in knowledge] wherever they are. Then He will inform them of what they did, on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed Allah is, of all things, Knowing." [Al-Mujadilah (58):7]

BEKALAN TAQWA

Berdasarkan dari sinilah Al-Qur’an sangat memperhatikan kepentingan takwa.

Allah granted us honor with this Islam

During his Caliphate, Umar - Radi Allahu 'anhu - once set out for Ash-Shaam and with him was Abu Ubaydah. They came upon a deep creek which they needed to cross. So Umar took off his sandals and carried them on his shoulders. Then he took the reign of the camel and began plowing through the water. Abu Ubaydah - seeing the Khaleefah of the Muslims in this state - felt saddened and said, "I fear that the people of the village will think you un-honorable." Umar said, "Oh Abu Ubaydah, if only someone less knowledgeable then you made such a statement. We were of the most disgraced of people and Allah granted us honor with this Islam. Now, whenever we seek honor in other than that which Allah honored us with, Allah shall disgrace us (once again)."

Life is Like Baking a Cake

A little boy is telling his Grandma how “everything” is going wrong. School, family problems, health problems, problems with friends, etc.

Meanwhile, Grandma is baking a cake. She asks her grandson if he would like a snack, which, of course, he does.

“Here, have some cooking oil.” “Yuck” says the boy.

“How about a couple raw eggs? ” “Gross, Grandma!”

“Would you like some flour then? Or maybe baking soda?”

“Grandma, those are all yucky!”

To which Grandma replies: “Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves. But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake!

God works the same way. Many times we wonder why he would let us go through such bad and difficult times.

But Allah knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good! We just have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all make something wonderful!”

Allah hears all our Du’as. Whenever you want to talk, He’ll listen and Hear. He is As-Baseerul, Sameer - The Seerer, The Hearer.

“And when My servants ask you concerning Me, then surely I am very near; I answer the prayer of the suppliant when he calls on Me, so they should answer My call and believe in Me that they may walk in the right way” [surah al-Baqarah; 2:186]
